Hey Wait a Minute…

I was about to get some dinner when I discovered that the house network was back up after a day-long outage. Now it’s two hours later; not only am I two hours hungrier, it’s past reasonable suppertime and I will probably not be able to find a dinnermate… er, no, scratch that, instant messaging is such a wonderful thing!

Before I stuff my guts full of taco, I want to point out last week’s episode of This American Life, because they featured a man who compiles idiosyncratic maps of his neighborhood – maps of Halloween pumpkins and street signs and trees. That, my friends, is a sense of place.
