Employment

Fiscal solvency is in the air, tra la, tra lee, tra la la la lay – in the space of twenty-four hours I gained a job, and another job. Both webby things, doing faculty home pages for the GPS division and digitizing boxfuls of material for the Caltech-Occidental concert band. Hopefully enough to keep me off the streets and out of trouble for the rest of the summer.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with; more specifically, I’m looking forward to seeing if you put your unique stamp on those faculty pages. A hidden Uncle Ole reference somewhere, perhaps…?
Oh, that’s right. The aim is to stay out of trouble.

Yeah, (what he said) and what kinds of “material” are you digitizing? Are we talking imagery or audio? Or both, or cloth!? (material, ha!)
incidentally, in mozilla these comments popups in the “plain jane” style are a little too narrow. The textbox is really the only thing pushing it out.
also, I had a dream with you in it last night. I had for some reason moved very close to caltech, and came to visit you in your dorm room (which was occupied by several other people I know, who all live in minnesota). I remember in the dream trying to decide whether to call you Yami or not, and then realizing that I’d momentarily forgotten your real name. It was very strange.

But if you stay out of trouble, what on earth will you write about on your blog?

    nothing, apparently.

yes. and I wish she would let me know when she’s going to be within driving distance… (even though it’s painfully far.) Sometimes…
    I miss her.
