So I didn’t go to a sensitive liberal school, but the more I’m embedded in mainstream culture, the more I notice and want to pound my fists at. I think it’s like riding a bike - once you learn you don’t forget.

i applaud your crusade for blurred gender roles. it’s very much the kind of thing i’m scared i will start to notice less and less the longer i’m out of college. alternatively, maybe the world will change and labels will start reading “mom(s) and/or dad(s)!”

Oh, well, if I started complaining about all the advertising that manipulates small children I’d end up having to move to a farm with some nice Amish neighbors and never buy anything ever again. Then I’d have to single-handedly destroy capitalism. It’d be fun, but seeing as how I’m happily child-free the capitalism is not an immediate issue for me and I’d rather finish my quilt.

LOL Great article/letter to go with my a.m. coffee
How about a nice little letter how they purposly target small children to convince their “moms” to buy it for them in the first place… the commercials blatently equate their products with how much we love our kids…

Hee. Great letter. Write more!
(My latest epistolary complaint can’t compete; I told the neighbor off for tossing dog poop over the fence.)
