Friday Random Ten-and-Seven

Monday is Monday, but Friday is Thursday, isn’t it? Also, I need a plugin for iTunes that will display the current song on the menubar or something. Since I usually listen on full-library shuffle mode, I rarely have any idea what’s playing.

  1. The Be Good Tanyas – Blue Horse – Dogsong
  2. Laura Illeborg – Sværger & Lover – Himalaya
  3. Robben-Island Prison Singers – Y’zinga – Amandla! A Revolution in Four-Part Harmony
  4. Kékélé – Congo Life – Lili
  5. Smølferne – Smølfehits Vol. 1 – Smølfeleg
  6. Chumbawamba – Special “Fuck You, Joerg Haider” CD Single – Enough Is Enough (Kick It Over)
Just below this on the Chumbawamba download page is “Tony”, which I suggest you all download and croon along to in honour of you-know-what.
  7. Liz Carroll – Lost in the Loop – The Didda/Fly And Dodger
  8. Värttinä – Seleniko – Fanfaari
  9. Tempest – Sunken Treasures – Winding Road
  10. Bela Fleck – Perpetual Motion – Cello Suite #1 In G, BWV 2020 – Prelude

    Whoa. Freaky search requests!
    I would also like such a plug-in!

I found one for Windows, but that’s no help. I haven’t really looked yet, though; I’ll report back if I find anything.
I think the last two search requests would make a good Lovecraftian horror story, somehow.

Are there actually ever any wimmins in Lovecraft? I seem to not remember such. (Did the hilariously po-facedly annotated Penguin modern classic editions make it to the FDR?)

Naturally the vagina would belong to the slugs.
Dunno about the Penguins, they mostly make it over here but I am not up on my po-faced annotation availabilities.

So it seems the thing to get is iTunes Track. The iTunes plugin for Quicksilver will flash up a window when the track changes, but iTunes Track is a persistent window.
