Staten Island Hornpipe

I should be heading back to the ol’ Federal Democratic Republic tomorrow morning – hopefully not too much more Free and Democratic than it was a month ago. As I write this, Sandra Day O’Connor’s resignation is blaring from the news and I am clapping my hands over my ears and Not Listening.

Anyway, even though I’m flying directly to Minneapolis and not New York, here’s the Staten Island Hornpipe (link expired, sorry), off of Tony Elman’s Shakin’ Down the Acorns, Vol. 1 – an album pleasant enough to penetrate even the worst wingnut-induced vapors, I hope.
