I developed a resistance to novocaine during grade and high school, so when my errant wisdom teeth sent me to the college dentist, he told me that such a resistance was impossible, and promptly cut the infected gum tissue out with just a normal jab. On my walk home, I felt a slight tingle for about five minutes, but aside from that I could feel absolutely everything. You’re lucky.
