feduccia et al are grasping at straws – the arguments in this paper are…not very good.
among people who *haven’t* built their careers on being confrontationally wrongheaded, the consensus remains – birds are dinosaurs, and dinosaurs had feathers.
so be consoled – you can still blow the minds of little kids by pointing to their parakeet and saying, “whoa! i didn’t know you had a pet dinosaur!”
