Kids’ Drawings of Scientists, and also their descriptions of what scientists are like, before:

“Scientist Judy is wearing her white lab coat. She is a very simple person . . . simple clothes, simple house, simple personality.”

“Scientists live in their own world and the rest of society puts them there.”

And after a visit to Fermilab:

“. . . . anyone can be a scientist. I saw people walking around in sweatshirts and jeans. Who knows? Maybe I can be a scientist.”

I hadn’t realized how pervasive the classic lab coat imagery really is. Also, vacations? But no time for that - this beautiful and unique snowflake has some equations to find on her computer, posthaste!
